Al Wootton is a London-based electronic music producer and DJ whose work explores the sepia-toned possibilities of dub, techno, and UK bass. First known under his Deadboy alias, Wootton gained recognition in the early 2010s for releases on labels like Numbers and Local Action, blending R&B samples and UK garage swing into club-ready anthems. Shedding the Deadboy name, he began releasing under his own in 2019, channeling his penchant for rhythm and atmosphere into a sound rooted in minimalism, deep sub-bass, and intricate percussion.

His acclaimed debut album, *Witness* (2020), on the TRULE imprint (which he runs), showcased a palette of influences—from Bristolian soundsystem culture to Berlin dub techno—garnished with a cinematic, introspective edge.
