Born in Oakland, California and raised in a Filipino-American household, Ana Roxanne's artistic journey is shaped by an exploration of gender, identity, and sonic introspection. Trained across disciplines—starting with classical piano, later moving through jazz and choral music—she developed a nuanced approach to sound and voice. Her work beautifully merges ambient textures with personal, vulnerable themes, drawing on influences like Hindustani singing and electronic experimentation.

After moving to San Francisco to study jazz at Mills College, Ana Roxanne honed a tableau of sound that often weaves together field recordings, synthesizers, and delicate vocals. Her breakout came with the EP *~~~*, self-released in 2015 and reissued by Leaving Records in 2019, garnering attention for its meditative and emotional depth.
