Cezar Ouatu, known mononymously as CEZAR, is a celebrated Romanian countertenor, pianist, and vocal artist recognized for his unique fusion of classical opera and contemporary sounds. Born on February 18, 1980, in Ploiești, Romania, CEZAR grew up in a musically enriched environment, with his father being a renowned flautist. He began his formal musical education at a young age, demonstrating prodigious talent both as a pianist and a vocalist.

CEZAR honed his craft at prestigious institutions, including the Milan Conservatory, and quickly established himself in the European opera circuit, acclaimed for his charismatic stage presence and astonishing vocal range. His career gained international momentum when he represented Romania at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song “It’s My Life,” captivating audiences with his dramatic performance and distinctive countertenor voice.
