Clearcast

Clearcast is an experimental music duo comprised of sound artist Penelope Hartsfield and multi-instrumentalist Jason Wren, who have gained recognition for their innovative approach to sonic storytelling, blending layers of ambient textures, field recordings, and intricate electronic manipulations. Formed in 2017 in Portland, Oregon, Clearcast’s work draws inspiration from the shifting boundaries between urban environments and natural landscapes, reflected in their immersive live performances and critically acclaimed releases. Their debut album, "Echoes Within Glass," established them as evocative architects of mood, while subsequent projects such as "Horizon Static" and "Signals Crossing" further showcased their signature techniques of granular synthesis, minimalist composition, and collaborative improvisation.
