DJ Cringey, born Alex Reyes in Houston, Texas, is a boundary-pushing DJ and producer known for blending hyperpop, nostalgic pop-punk, and absurdist internet culture into dancefloor anthems. Starting out as a meme curator and SoundCloud enthusiast in 2017, DJ Cringey first gained attention by remixing viral internet sounds and infusing them with driving beats and glitchy edits. Their first self-released EP, **Emotional Spam** (2020), introduced a new wave of genre-hopping party tracks that went viral on TikTok and Twitch streams.
