Born and raised in Detroit, DJ Minx (real name Jennifer Witcher) is a seminal figure in the global house and techno community. Launching her career in the early 1990s, Minx quickly established herself as a powerhouse DJ and producer, spinning at iconic Detroit venues such as Club Motor and the underground Warehouse parties. She became a founding member of the women’s collective Women on Wax in 1996, elevating female voices in electronic music and providing a platform for underrepresented artists.

In 2001, Minx launched her own label, Women on Wax Recordings, further cementing her legacy as a tastemaker and advocate for diversity in dance music. Her signature blends of deep house, soulful grooves, and driving techno have earned her respect from peers and partygoers alike, gracing festival stages at Movement Detroit, DEMF, and beyond.
