Doldrums is the creative moniker of Canadian musician and producer Airick Woodhead, renowned for his experimental approach to electronic music. Emerging from the vibrant Montreal underground scene in the early 2010s, Doldrums quickly gained attention for his dizzying blend of fractured beats, glitchy textures, and dreamlike vocals. Initially receiving recognition through lively DIY performances and a series of self-produced EPs, Doldrums' breakthrough came with the release of his debut album "Lesser Evil" in 2013, followed by critically acclaimed works like "The Air Conditioned Nightmare" and "Esc." His sound, often described as a collage of post-punk, IDM, and psychedelia, is characterized by restless energy and a unique ability to turn chaos into captivating beauty.
