Feral Sound is the collaborative project of sound artists Lena Martinez and Caleb Rowe, formed in Portland, Oregon in 2019. Blending organic textures with digital manipulation, their work explores the boundaries between noise, ambient, and post-industrial music. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, urban decay, and found sounds, Feral Sound creates immersive sonic environments that evoke both the wild and the technological.
Their debut album "Echoes in Rust" was released in 2021, garnering praise for its intricate layering and emotional depth. In addition to recorded music, Feral Sound is known for their dynamic live performances, often incorporating improvised visuals and site-specific field recordings. Both Martinez and Rowe have backgrounds in experimental composition and sound design, and their multidisciplinary approach extends to installations and collaborative projects within the Pacific Northwest arts community.
