Fergus Jones

Fergus Jones is a contemporary visual artist known for his evocative use of color and layered textures that reflect the shifting boundaries between urban landscapes and natural environments. Born in 1987 in Glasgow, Scotland, Jones developed an early interest in art, influenced by both the rugged beauty of the Highlands and the industrial heritage of his hometown. He graduated with honors from the Glasgow School of Art in 2009, where he was recognized for his experimental approach to painting and mixed media.

Jones’s work often explores themes of memory, place, and transformation, drawing inspiration from his travels across Europe and residencies in Berlin and Barcelona. His pieces have been exhibited in solo and group shows throughout the UK and internationally, including the Tate Modern’s emerging artists program and the Edinburgh Art Festival. Jones currently lives and works in London, where he continues to expand his practice by integrating digital processes and exploring collaborations across disciplines.
