Frantz

Frantz is a multidisciplinary artist whose work blurs the boundaries between painting, sculpture, and installation to explore themes of identity, memory, and transformation. Born in Port-au-Prince and currently based in Montreal, Frantz draws on the rich visual language of Caribbean folklore and contemporary urban culture to create layered narratives within their art. With a background in both fine arts and anthropology, Frantz approaches creative practice as both research and storytelling, weaving found objects, natural materials, and vibrant pigments into immersive environments.

Their work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across Canada, the United States, and Europe, earning recognition for its emotional resonance and technical innovation. Through a process that is both intuitive and rigorous, Frantz invites viewers to confront the complexities of displacement, cultural hybridity, and the resilience of the human spirit.
