Hagop Tchaparian is a British-Armenian electronic music artist and DJ, known for blending elements from techno, field recordings, and traditional Armenian instrumentation. Early in his career, Tchaparian was a member of the British indie rock band Symposium. After the group disbanded, he immersed himself in the electronic music scene, working behind the scenes as a tour manager and collaborator for major acts such as Hot Chip and Four Tet.

Drawing inspiration from his Armenian heritage, Tchaparian spent years travelling between London, Beirut, and various cities in Armenia, capturing sounds and melodies which would later form the basis of his work. His music is characterized by textured soundscapes, innovative sampling, and a thoughtful approach to rhythm and melody. His debut album, “Bolts,” released in 2022 on Text Records, was met with critical acclaim for its deeply personal blend of club energy and global folk influences.

Tchaparian continues to perform internationally and is recognized for his innovative approach to electronic music production and DJing, bridging diverse cultures and sounds.
