Harim

Harim is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, identity, and the hidden rhythms of everyday life. Raised between Seoul and Los Angeles, Harim draws upon this bicultural experience to create paintings, installations, and mixed-media pieces that negotiate both personal and collective histories. Their practice is characterized by a distinctive approach to mark-making—layering found materials with meditative brushwork and subtle color palettes.

Harim’s art often interrogates the ways in which language, tradition, and movement shape our perceptions of home and belonging. Since receiving a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Harim has exhibited in galleries across North America, Europe, and Asia, earning recognition for their evocative, quietly powerful works. Through a nuanced dialogue between absence and presence, Harim invites viewers to pause, reflect, and ultimately discover new ways of connecting with themselves and the world.
