Justin Li

Justin Li is a contemporary visual artist renowned for his dynamic approach to abstraction and his innovative use of mixed media. Born in 1991 in Vancouver, Canada, Li grew up navigating multicultural influences that now permeate his work, reflecting themes of migration, memory, and identity. He received his BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where he explored the intersections of painting, digital art, and installation.

Li’s practice is characterized by vibrant color palettes, gestural brushwork, and layered textures, often incorporating found materials and digital processes to blur the boundaries between the physical and virtual. His art has been exhibited in solo and group shows across North America and Asia, earning recognition for its emotive intensity and conceptual depth. In addition to his studio work, Li is active in arts education and frequently collaborates with community organizations to promote accessibility in the arts.

He currently lives and works in Toronto, continuing to push the limits of visual expression while inspiring a new generation of artists.
