K-Klass are a British electronic music group known for their impactful contributions to the house and dance music scenes since the late 1980s. Formed in Manchester by Andy Williams, Carl Thomas, Russ Morgan, and Paul Roberts, K-Klass quickly established a reputation for their energetic live performances and uplifting productions. Early on, the group drew inspiration from the legendary Hacienda club, a hub for acid house and rave culture.
Their debut single, "Rhythm is a Mystery," released in 1991, became a club classic and peaked at No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart, propelling them into national prominence. This success was followed by further hits including "Let Me Show You," which also became a top ten UK single.
K-Klass were regular remixers throughout the 1990s and 2000s, lending their distinctive sound to tracks by high-profile artists such as Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Frankie Knuckles, M People, and Pet Shop Boys. Their remix of Bobby Brown’s "Two Can Play That Game" reached the UK Top 3, cementing their reputation for delivering crossover dancefloor anthems. The group released several albums, including the acclaimed *Universal* (1993) and *K2* (1995), combining vocal melodies, house beats, and anthemic production.
Their dedication to the scene earned them a Brit Award nomination and enduring respect among peers and fans. Despite changing musical landscapes and member departures, Russ Morgan and Paul Roberts have kept the K-Klass name alive, continuing to release new music, tour internationally, and headline leading dance events. Their passion for house music and their role as architects of the 1990s club sound have secured their place as one of the UK’s most beloved and influential dance acts.
