Kweku

Kweku is a multidisciplinary artist whose work traverses painting, digital media, and installation, emanating from a rich cultural tapestry rooted in West African traditions and contemporary global dialogues. Born and raised in Accra, Ghana, Kweku draws inspiration from the vibrant colors, patterns, and narratives of their hometown, merging them with explorations of personal identity, migration, and collective memory. After formal training at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kweku’s practice expanded internationally, incorporating influences from residencies and exhibitions across Europe, North America, and beyond.

Their art is marked by a fascination with storytelling, often blending abstract forms with figurative elements to explore themes of resilience, belonging, and transformation. Kweku's work has been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions, earning recognition for its ability to bridge local histories with universal questions, inviting viewers to reflect on their own stories within a shared global context.
