Lil' Louis

Born Louis Sims in Chicago, Lil' Louis is widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of house music. Beginning his DJ career at age 12, he quickly became a pivotal figure in the underground club scene during the late 1970s and early 1980s. His innovative productions and DJ sets played a significant role in shaping the distinctive Chicago house sound.

Lil’ Louis gained international fame with the release of "French Kiss" in 1989, a track whose sensual, hypnotic rhythms and groundbreaking tempo changes became anthems on dance floors worldwide. The song reached the top of dance charts and even crossed into mainstream pop success. He followed this success with influential singles like "Club Lonely" and "I Called U," and two highly praised albums, *From the Mind of Lil' Louis* (1989) and *Journey With The Lonely* (1992).
