LoKho

LoKho is an emerging interdisciplinary artist whose work synthesizes elements from digital media, painting, and installation art to explore the intersection between technology, memory, and cultural identity. Born in 1992 in Johannesburg, South Africa, and currently based in Berlin, LoKho’s practice is rooted in a deeply personal narrative, often drawing on their experiences of migration and hybridity. Their visually arresting compositions blur the lines between the organic and the artificial, using layered images, found objects, and coded algorithms to create immersive environments that invite viewers to question notions of belonging and reality.

Since graduating from the University of Cape Town with a degree in Fine Arts, LoKho has exhibited in solo and group shows across Europe and Africa, with recent exhibitions at Kunsthaus Bethanien and the Zeitz MOCAA. Their innovative approach has garnered attention from critics and curators, positioning LoKho as a distinct new voice in contemporary art circles.
