Marc Acardipane is a pioneering German electronic music producer and DJ, widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of the hardcore techno and gabber scenes. Born Marc Trauner in Frankfurt, Germany, he began making music in the late 1980s and quickly gained recognition for his innovative, aggressive sound that pushed the boundaries of techno. Acardipane is best known for his work under numerous aliases, most notably as Mescalinum United, whose 1990 track “We Have Arrived” is often cited as the first hardcore techno record.
