Richard West, known globally as Mr C, is a pioneering British DJ, producer, rapper, and nightclub owner. Emerging from London’s vibrant club scene in the late 1980s, he rose to fame as the frontman and rapper for The Shamen, contributing to their international hits and commercial success in the early 1990s, including the number one single "Ebeneezer Goode." Beyond his work with The Shamen, Mr C became a central figure in the evolution of house and techno in the UK.

In 1995, he co-founded The End, one of London’s most legendary nightclubs, which he co-owned until its closure in 2009. The End became synonymous with innovative music programming and cutting-edge underground sounds, hosting residencies with influential DJs and championing genres from tech house to drum & bass. Throughout his career, Mr C has remained a tireless advocate for underground dance music, hosting his long-running Superfreq parties in London, Ibiza, Los Angeles, and around the world.

He is also the founder of the Superfreq record label, releasing forward-thinking house and techno from both established and emerging artists. With a relentless touring schedule, Mr C is celebrated for his dynamic DJ sets, which blend driving house, tech house, and minimal grooves. His influence extends across several decades, bridging the early rave days, the golden era of clubbing, and the contemporary electronic music scene.
