Nick Charles is a contemporary mixed-media artist known for his evocative explorations of identity, memory, and place through both visual and conceptual mediums. Born in Philadelphia in 1986, Charles developed a keen interest in art as a child, inspired by the vibrant urban environment and the legacy of local street artists. After earning a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, he embarked on a journey that led him to exhibit in cities across the United States and internationally, including New York, Berlin, and Tokyo.

His work combines painting, photography, and found materials, often weaving personal narratives with collective cultural themes. Charles is celebrated for his dynamic layering techniques and his ability to capture the fleeting nature of human experience. He has been the recipient of several prestigious grants and residencies, and his works are held in both private and public collections.
