NKNX

NKNX is a multidisciplinary artist collective based in Lagos, Nigeria, known for their innovative fusion of traditional and contemporary artistic practices. Founded in 2017, NKNX emerged from a shared desire among its members to challenge conventional narratives in African art through experimentation with mixed media, digital installations, and performance. The collective draws inspiration from local stories, urban landscapes, and the complexities of global African identity, weaving these elements into visually striking works that explore themes of memory, migration, and culture.

Over the years, NKNX has exhibited both locally and internationally, earning recognition for their thought-provoking installations at venues such as the Lagos Biennial and Art X Lagos, as well as group exhibitions in London and Berlin. Their growing reputation is anchored not only in their artistic output, but also in community engagement through educational workshops and collaborations with emerging creatives.
