Paraçek is a contemporary artist collective known for their experimental approach to visual narratives and a distinctive blending of analog and digital media. Formed in 2018, Paraçek’s founding members—coming from backgrounds in visual arts, sound design, and programming—have crafted a practice focused on the interplay between technology and human experience. Based in both Berlin and Istanbul, the collective’s work spans immersive installations, participatory performances, and generative art pieces, frequently exploring the boundaries between reality and simulation.
Their projects have been exhibited internationally, appearing at venues such as the ZKM Center for Art and Media, Mamut Art Project, and Sonar+D. Paraçek is recognized for challenging conventional modes of perception, often using custom-built software and repurposed hardware to invite audiences into interactive, sensorial environments. Their evolving body of work reflects an ongoing interest in memory, displacement, and the poetics of glitch, creating spaces where ambiguity becomes a catalyst for reflection and dialogue.
