Posthuman are a British electronic music duo consisting of cousins Richard Bevan and Josh Doherty. Formed in the late 1990s, they emerged from the UK’s IDM and electronica scenes, hosting the influential Seed parties in London that helped nurture the early careers of numerous electronic artists. Over the years, Posthuman’s sound has evolved through ambient electronica, acid house, techno, and electro, establishing them as genre-blurring producers with an affinity for deep, analogue grooves and distinctive acid lines.

Josh Doherty is also known as the founder of the Balkan Vinyl label and co-curator of the acclaimed I Love Acid club night, pivotal to the modern acid house revival in the UK and Europe. As Posthuman, the pair have released a series of acclaimed EPs and albums on labels such as Balkan Vinyl, Tusk Wax, Shipwrec, and their own imprint, Seed Records. Their live sets and DJ appearances have seen them perform at renowned venues and festivals across the world, earning a dedicated following for their raw, hardware-driven approach to electronic music.

With decades of experience, Posthuman continue to push electronic music boundaries, producing tracks that blend retro and futuristic influences while nurturing the vibrant acid and techno community through their events, labels, and collaborations.
