Purple Disco Machine

Born Tino Piontek in Dresden, Germany, Purple Disco Machine has emerged as one of the leading forces in contemporary disco and house music. He began his musical journey in the 1990s, soaking up the influences of funk, soul, and disco from his parents’ record collection and the electronic sounds of the growing German club scene. After years honing his production skills and DJing in local clubs, he released early tracks under various aliases before adopting the Purple Disco Machine moniker in 2012.

His breakout came with the release of "My House" in 2013, which quickly became a staple on dance floors worldwide and announced his distinctive blend of classic disco grooves with modern house sensibility. Throughout the 2010s, Purple Disco Machine developed a signature sound—characterized by lush basslines, funky guitar riffs, and euphoric synths—that fueled a string of well-received singles and remixes for international superstars including Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, and Calvin Harris. With the release of his debut album *Soulmatic* in 2017, Piontek firmly cemented his place in the electronic music world.

The album’s infectious single "Devil in Me" became a worldwide hit and helped propel his career to new heights. His sophomore album, *Exotica* (2021), showcased his versatility and featured collaborations with artists across genres, including the smash singles "Hypnotized" and "Fireworks." As an in-demand DJ, Purple Disco Machine has played headline sets at major clubs and festivals across the globe, his sets celebrated for their joyous, feel-good energy and seamless fusion of past and present dance music.

Awards and accolades have followed, with multiple international chart-topping releases and a GRAMMY Award for Best Remixed Recording in 2023. Purple Disco Machine continues to champion disco’s timeless spirit, celebrating classic sounds while reinventing them for new audiences, and remains a guiding light for the global resurgence of dance and disco in modern pop culture.
