Ramî

Ramî is a contemporary multimedia artist whose work explores the intersections of identity, memory, and collective experience. Born in 1993 in Diyarbakır, Turkey, Ramî’s practice spans painting, installation, video, and poetry, drawing from Kurdish heritage and diasporic narratives to create evocative pieces that invite introspection and dialogue. Educated at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul, Ramî has held solo exhibitions in cities such as Berlin, Istanbul, and Amsterdam, and has participated in group shows worldwide.

Their art is marked by a rich interplay of color, texture, and symbolism, often incorporating found objects, archival photographs, and experimental soundscapes to reconstruct the fragility and resilience of memory. Through both personal storytelling and broader social commentary, Ramî addresses themes of displacement, resistance, and healing, establishing a unique space for marginalized voices within contemporary art. Their work is held in several public and private collections, and Ramî remains dedicated to community-based workshops and collaborative projects advocating for cultural preservation and dialogue.
