Rødhåd, born Mike Bierbach in Berlin, Germany, is a renowned DJ, producer, and founder of the Dystopian label. Emerging from Berlin’s techno underground in the early 2000s, he quickly established himself with a sound rooted in deep, melancholic, and driving techno. As a resident of the STRASSEN, Helsinki, and later the acclaimed Dystopian events, Rødhåd honed his skills performing extended sets characterized by hypnotic grooves and a relentless focus on atmosphere.

His rise to international acclaim began with a series of well-received EPs on the Dystopian imprint starting in 2012. His productions, known for their depth and emotional resonance, have made him a staple in both Berlin’s Berghain and on festival stages worldwide. Beyond his own label, Rødhåd’s discography includes releases on esteemed imprints such as Token and 50Weapons, as well as collaborations with artists like Vril, JakoJako, and Recondite.

A consummate selector, Rødhåd’s DJ sets are acclaimed for their narrative arc, shifting seamlessly from rolling dub techno to intense industrial pressure, always retaining a moody, red-tinted aesthetic unique to his artistic vision. In addition to numerous 12”s and remixes, his debut album *Anxious* (2017) garnered critical praise for its exploration of techno’s emotional and cinematic possibilities. Active in pushing the scene forward, he launched WSNWG (WSNWG - Back To Zero), a studio-focused project for collaborations and experimental releases.

Rødhåd continues to champion the darker, more cerebral side of techno, consistently delivering sets and productions that embody the spirit of Berlin’s underground while pushing the boundaries of modern electronic music.
