Ryosuke Kiyasu is a pioneering Japanese percussionist and improviser renowned for pushing the boundaries of experimental music through his visceral and unconventional approach to the snare drum. Born in Tokyo, Kiyasu has built a prolific international career since the early 2000s, performing as a solo artist and collaborating with diverse ensembles and musicians from the global avant-garde scene. He is perhaps best known as the drummer for the noise rock band Sete Star Sept and as a longtime member of the legendary grindcore outfit The Endless Blockade.

Kiyasu’s solo performances are marked by an intense physicality, using the snare drum as a standalone instrument to explore intricate textures, explosive dynamics, and raw emotional expression.
