Seth Troxler was born on September 29, 1985, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and was raised between the cities of Detroit and Chicago, where he was immersed in the sounds that would go on to shape his career—house, techno, and the rich legacy of Midwest club music. Troxler’s early exposure to electronic music, thanks to family connections and time spent at underground parties, inspired him to start DJing as a teenager. By the age of 15, he was already playing clubs and radio shows across Detroit, learning from local legends and perfecting his eclectic style.

Moving to Berlin in his early 20s, Troxler became a central figure in the global dance music scene. He quickly developed a reputation for his genre-defying sets—seamlessly blending house, techno, funk, and everything in between—and for his charismatic stage presence. As a producer, his discography spans acclaimed solo releases and exciting collaborations, including work with crews like Visionquest (alongside Ryan Crosson, Lee Curtiss, and Shaun Reeves) and collaborations with Matthew Dear as Audion.

Troxler has played at some of the world’s most respected clubs and events, from DC10 in Ibiza to fabric in London, Time Warp, Sonar, Burning Man, and beyond. His accolades include being voted No. 1 DJ in the Resident Advisor Top 100 DJs Poll in 2012 and repeated placements in DJ Mag’s Top 100.
