Squig, a boundary-pushing DJ and producer originally from Bristol, UK, has carved a distinctive niche within the underground electronic music scene. Known for their genre-fluid sets, Squig weaves elements of techno, breakbeat, and leftfield bass into energetic performances that unsettle and ignite dance floors in equal measure. Debuting in 2018 at local warehouse parties, Squig quickly built a reputation for both technical prowess and an uncanny ability to read—and challenge—the room.
After releasing a string of self-produced EPs on micro labels and Bandcamp, Squig caught the attention of tastemakers at Resident Advisor and Mixmag, earning spots on lineups at major European festivals including Unsound, Dekmantel, and Houghton. In 2022, Squig co-founded the event series "FRACTAL," a platform highlighting underrepresented artists, and their monthly Noods Radio residency showcases their eclectic approach to club music, garnished with cheeky samples and left-field edits. Outside of the booth, Squig is an audio experimentalist, collaborating with visual artists and dancers for immersive, interdisciplinary experiences.
Fiercely DIY in ethos, Squig continues to advocate for safer spaces and queer inclusion on the dance floor—cementing their status as a vital force in the new wave of UK club culture.
