Beginning his career in the late 2000s, Herrera first earned recognition with sun-drenched, genre-blurring releases on labels such as Running Back, Melody As Truth, and ESP Institute. Suzanne Kraft’s early work, including the acclaimed "Missum" and "Talk from Home," reflected an affinity for lush, downtempo textures and melodic warmth, often evoking a dreamlike, nostalgic atmosphere.
