INFO

The Twisted Pepper was a renowned nightclub and cultural venue located in Dublin, Ireland, known for its significant contribution to the city’s nightlife and electronic music scene. Opened in 2008 on Abbey Street, in the heart of Dublin, the club quickly became a hub for music lovers seeking cutting-edge sounds and innovative events. The venue, part of the Bodytonic collective, earned a reputation for its eclectic music policy, programming nights spanning techno, house, hip-hop, dubstep, and more experimental genres.
The Twisted Pepper was not just a nightclub; it also featured a café, bar, and unique spaces for art, workshops, and pop-up shops, making it a focal point for Dublin’s creative community. Over its years in operation, the venue was cherished for fostering underground talent and exposing local dancers and partygoers to world-class acts in an intimate setting. Despite its popularity and cultural impact, The Twisted Pepper closed its doors in 2015, with its premises later transforming into Wigwam, a new venue with a different focus by the same owners.
The club’s closure was widely regarded as the end of an era in Irish nightlife, marking the loss of one of the city’s last great alternative music spaces. Notable artists who performed at The Twisted Pepper include international names such as Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier, Dixon, Nina Kraviz, Ben Klock, Kode9, Carl Craig, Moodymann, Move D, Skream, Hudson Mohawke, Jamie xx, Todd Terje, and Marcel Dettmann. The club also served as an important platform for local talent, hosting Irish DJs and collectives like Sunil Sharpe, DeFeKT, Krystal Klear, The Drifter, and many more.
