Cassegrain is a techno duo consisting of Alex Tsiridis and Hüseyin Evirgen. Formed in 2012, the pair quickly garnered a reputation for their distinct blend of hypnotic rhythms and intricate sound design. Their music, influenced by their respective Greek and Turkish backgrounds, displays a unique synthesis of deep, pulsating grooves and atmospheric textures.

Cassegrain’s early collaborations with Tin Man set the tone for their musical approach: forward-thinking yet firmly rooted in the lineage of contemporary techno. Their releases on respected imprints like Prologue, Killekill, and Ostgut Ton solidified their position within Europe’s refined electronic scene. The duo became known for their dynamic live sets, often featuring modular synths and hardware-driven improvisations.

In 2017, Cassegrain launched their own imprint, Arcing Seas, which further showcased their tastes and served as a platform for their evolving sound. Over the years, they have performed at renowned venues and festivals worldwide, including Berghain in Berlin and Dekmantel in Amsterdam. Cassegrain’s consistently high standards in production and performance have earned them a dedicated following within the techno community, while their ongoing willingness to experiment continues to push boundaries in the genre.
