Beginning his career in the early 1990s, Function was an early affiliate of the influential Sandwell District collective, alongside Regis and Silent Servant, pushing forward-thinking techno rooted in the tradition of classic Detroit and Berlin aesthetics while exploring darker, atmospheric, and experimental territories.
