Ezy Fischel is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, identity, and collective histories through a vibrant blend of painting, sculpture, and installation. Born in New York City and currently based in Philadelphia, Fischel draws from a diverse cultural background and personal experiences to infuse their art with themes of migration, nostalgia, and transformation. They hold a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania, where they honed a practice that melds traditional techniques with experimental processes.
Fischel’s recent exhibitions include solo and group shows at the Institute of Contemporary Art Philadelphia, The Jewish Museum in New York, and a residency at the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture. Their work has been recognized for its textured storytelling and tactile exploration of surface and space, often incorporating found objects, hand-dyed fabrics, and evocative symbolism. Fischel continues to push conceptual boundaries while remaining committed to community engagement and education, leading workshops and public art projects that invite collaborative meaning-making.
