John Loveless

John Loveless is an American multimedia artist known for his innovative fusion of painting, sculpture, and digital media. Born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1987, Loveless developed an early interest in visual storytelling, inspired by the vibrant artistic communities in his hometown. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art before completing his Master of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Loveless’s work explores themes of memory, identity, and digital culture, often incorporating found objects, archival materials, and experimental processes. His pieces have been exhibited internationally, including at The Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and the Berlin Art Week. Recognized for his thoughtful engagement with contemporary social issues, Loveless has been the recipient of numerous awards such as the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and the Joan Mitchell Foundation Fellowship.

He currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York, where he is active as both a practicing artist and an educator.
