Jorge Guasch

Jorge Guasch is a contemporary visual artist known for his evocative exploration of memory, identity, and urban landscapes. Born in Asunción, Paraguay in 1981, Guasch’s artistic journey began in his adolescence, inspired by the vivid street life and rich cultural tapestry of his hometown. After studying fine art at the Universidad Nacional de Asunción, he further developed his practice during postgraduate residencies in Buenos Aires and Madrid, focusing on mixed media, photography, and installation art.

Guasch’s works often incorporate archival materials, found objects, and layered textures to delve into themes of collective remembrance and social transformation. His pieces have been exhibited in galleries and museums across South America and Europe, earning critical recognition for their poetic resonance and innovative use of materials.
