NO.MADS

NO.MADS is a multidisciplinary artist duo formed by Maria Ortega and Daniel Souza, whose practice explores the intersection of digital culture and nomadic experience. Drawing on diverse backgrounds in graphic design, new media, and performance, NO.

MADS crafts immersive installations and audiovisual works that challenge conventional boundaries of space, identity, and technology. Their collaborative projects often utilize found objects, custom software, and live electronic music to evoke transient states and invite participatory engagement. Since their inception in 2019, NO.

MADS has exhibited internationally, including at festivals in Berlin, São Paulo, and Tokyo, while also cultivating a vibrant presence in online art communities. Through their practice, NO.MADS continually redefines the meaning of ‘home’ in an age of constant movement, seeking to foster global dialogue on displacement, connectivity, and creative hybridity.
