SALIMATA is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice bridges painting, sculpture, and installation to explore themes of memory, diaspora, and transformation. Born to Malian and French parents and raised between Bamako and Marseille, SALIMATA’s work draws on a rich tapestry of cultural influences, manifesting in vibrant palettes, tactile surfaces, and evocative symbolism. Her pieces often reinterpret ancestral motifs through a contemporary lens, inviting viewers to meditate on identity, displacement, and belonging.

Through community workshops and collaborative projects, she remains deeply committed to fostering dialogue across cultures and generations.
