Born in Lisbon, Portugal, DJ sEmoa is a multifaceted artist whose music seamlessly bridges the worlds of house, techno, and Afro-influenced rhythms. With roots deeply embedded in both European club culture and the vibrant sounds of Lusophone Africa, sEmoa began experimenting with electronic music production in their teens, quickly earning a reputation on Lisbon’s underground scene for energetic and eclectic DJ sets. Their sound incorporates throbbing basslines, sunrise-ready melodies, and playful percussion, all layered with samples reflecting their diverse heritage.

sEmoa’s first EP, "Midnight Saudade," released in 2019, caught the attention of tastemaker labels and led to performances at major events such as LISB_ON, Boom Festival, and Amsterdam Dance Event. Regularly collaborating with visual artists and dancers, sEmoa transforms live performances into immersive audiovisual experiences, drawing crowds from across Europe and Africa. Passionate about fostering inclusivity and representation, sEmoa co-founded the event series "Sons do Sul," which spotlights emerging Lusophone and African diasporic artists.

Their mixes have featured on influential platforms like NTS Radio and Boiler Room, earning praise for their genre-blurring selections and smooth transitions.
